40-Year Journey

🌿 Welcome to Thrive with Isabelle

Home of Lose Weight – Once and For All

Almost there!

My 40-Year Journey at a Glance – Almost There!

For nearly four decades, I rode the weight-loss roller coaster — losing, regaining, and starting over. Along the way, I faced health setbacks, raised a family, and learned the hard way what doesn’t work.

Now, I’ve created the plan that finally does — simple, balanced, and built for real life.

Ready to Get Off the Ride

In this photo, I was soaking up joy — the kind of ride I could stay on forever. But behind that smile was another ride I was ready to end: the weight-loss roller coaster. For nearly 40 years, I lost some, regained some, and never quite reached the finish line.

I had worked for decades to get to this point — trying almost every plan, even Noom. None were sustainable. They worked only if I logged every single bite, every single day — and when life threw challenges my way, progress unraveled.

At my closest, I was just 17 pounds from my goal — the closest I’d been since the 1980s. But then life shifted. While caring for my husband through his two-year illness, I lost focus on myself and slowly regained 20 pounds. It didn’t happen overnight. I wasn’t bingeing or living on junk food — I was still eating healthy meals. But without tracking constantly, my fragile metabolism betrayed me.

That left me 37 pounds from my goal again — and there are no words for how discouraging that felt.

Now, I’m on my way again — 8 weeks in, 14 pounds down — and this time I know the plan I’ve created, first for myself and now for you, will take me all the way.

This isn’t just another diet. It’s a way of eating built to carry us through life’s ups and downs — a better, easier rhythm we can keep, no matter what life throws our way.

Roller-Coaster Ride

For decades, I rode the weight-loss roller coaster — losing, regaining, and starting over — until I finally discovered how to break free.

If you’ve ever felt like you were constantly starting over, you’re not alone. I spent 40 years losing and regaining weight — trying every diet you can name — all while navigating medical challenges, raising a family, and running my own business.

This is the real story behind Lose Weight – Once and For All — the setbacks, small victories, health battles, and lessons that finally led me to create a program that works in real life.

Those years still held joy — raising my kids, making memories, living life — but I also knew I could feel better. I’m not ashamed of my journey; I’m grateful for it, because it taught me how to break the pattern and live the life I’d always dreamed of.

The Life-Altering Setback

In the early 1990s, I faced a health challenge that changed the way I think about wellness, resilience, and self-advocacy. I had to fight for answers, adapt my daily life, and keep believing I could recover.

Years later, another challenge hit — my husband’s health.

By then, I had lost 68 pounds over the course of 40 years. I was finally just 17 pounds from my goal. I felt unstoppable.

And then… life threw us another curveball. My husband became seriously ill. For the next two years, I poured my energy into helping him heal while holding everything else together at home — and slowly, the 20 pounds I had fought so hard to lose crept back.

The Struggle is Real

My initial weight struggles began and ended in my late teens — or so I thought.

For me, stress and gaining weight fit together like thunder and lightning — one always followed the other.

Through all the ups and downs, I finally realized what I was searching for wasn’t “out there.” One morning, it hit me: I need to create it.

I spent months perfecting this plan, and now I can’t keep it to myself. I want to share it with others who’ve walked in my shoes. Because it’s not just a cliché — the struggle truly is real.

The Pattern

This pattern followed me all through my adult life. Every time life got hard, the weight crept back on. Ten pounds here, ten there… until one day, the scale showed I was 85 pounds overweight.

It didn’t happen overnight. Like so many of us, I faced major life challenges, and food became my comfort. Not binges or midnight runs to the fridge — just everyday eating. But for me, “normal” eating was enough to tip the scale in the wrong direction.

This photo was taken during one of my heaviest seasons — a moment that once felt too vulnerable to share. But it’s part of my truth, and I’m not ashamed of it anymore. It reminds me how far I’ve come and why I’m so passionate about helping others break free from the same cycle.

I also learned my body reacts differently to certain foods — especially sugar. If I had it, I craved it; if I stayed away for three days, the cravings disappeared. That realization changed everything.

Today, I don’t eat added sugar and I avoid most processed foods. Instead, I eat clean, real food. It’s not complicated, it doesn’t have to break the bank, and with a little planning, it’s absolutely doable.

Diets I've Tried

Over the years, I tried them all — Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Atkins, South Beach, Paleo, Zone, low-carb, low-fat, cleanses, detoxes, DASH, Noom … and even the Mediterranean Diet — the same style I use today.

Some worked briefly. Others made me feel worse. Almost all drained my energy and ignored what my body truly needed: protein, calcium, fiber, and balance.

They didn’t just overlook nutrients — they ignored the realities of everyday life. They didn’t teach me how to enjoy cooking without being chained to the kitchen. They didn’t simplify shopping or offer tools to stay on track when life got busy. And they certainly didn’t make food joyful.

That’s the difference in what I’ve built now. This program isn’t about restriction or quick fixes — it’s about creating a way of eating you can actually live with, enjoy, and sustain for good.

The Missing Piece

When my husband’s health finally began to stabilize, I knew I couldn’t keep living on the weight-loss roller coaster. I needed something different — something that worked no matter what life threw my way.

I couldn’t find it… so I created it.

I took everything I’d learned over four decades — the trial, the error, the research, and the real-life experience — and pieced it together. Along the way, I discovered years of dieting had left my body out of balance — missing nutrients, low on energy, prone to inflammation.

This time, I filled in the gaps — creating a way of eating that restores balance, fuels my body, and naturally reduces inflammation.

It’s simple. It’s sustainable. And it’s the reason I’m finally on my way to my goal — for good. 👉 Preview it now on The Planpage, with more resources coming soon.

What Changed For Me

Within the first week on my new plan, my chronic shoulder pain — managed for years with shots, braces, even talk of surgery — was gone. By sticking with foods that worked for my body and avoiding my known sensitivities, I started to feel real, lasting changes.

My energy came back. Back pain eased. I could walk farther without stopping to rest. I wasn’t hungry or deprived. Food stopped being a battle — it became enjoyable again. And for the first time, I was having fun creating meals that supported my goals.

This photo reminds me how far I’ve come — and how grateful I am to have family by my side. Their encouragement, laughter, and love keep me focused on what matters most.

After decades of starting and stopping, it was as if my body finally realized: she’s not going to punish me this time — she’s going to take care of me. That shift was everything.

For the first time in 40 years, I wasn’t afraid of losing progress. I knew I could keep going — not because I had willpower of steel, but because my plan made it easy to keep saying yes to myself every day.

For me, this isn’t just about losing weight. It’s about proving — to myself and to you — that what once felt impossible is possible. You can feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in your 60s than you did in your 30s.

💗 If this program could help me, I believe it can help you, too.

Side by side — through it all

Through every high and low, I’ve learned true health isn’t just about the number on the scale — it’s about having the strength and energy to show up fully for the people you love most.

And as for my own journey? After 40 years of searching, I can finally say with confidence: I’m almost there.

Now, I’d love for you to join me — because together, we don’t just start over… we finish strong.
