I’ve spent 40 years battling weight struggles, learning lessons, and finding breakthroughs. I know what it’s like to keep “starting over” — and I’ve learned that lasting change isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding what truly works in real life.
🌿 My journey has taken many turns — and I’ve documented it honestly. If you’d like to see where it all began and how it evolved, explore here:
👉 [Gains & Losses]

Alongside my health journey, I’ve lived a full and busy life. I’m a wife of 44 years, a proud mom, and “Grammy/MiMi” to my wonderful grandchildren — who remind me daily why health and energy matter. They’re my why, because being healthy means having the energy to fully show up for the people I love.
I’m also a Certified Family Coach. Over the years, I’ve supported families through challenges, tutored children, and created community workshops — from cooking classes to “mommy & me” activities. I’ve run a licensed childcare business and led a nonprofit advocating for families.
My work has extended beyond coaching, too. I’ve been a news writer covering family issues and have supported families in times of deep crisis — some of the most meaningful work I’ve ever done. That chapter gave me a deeper compassion for how complex real life can be.
These experiences taught me that every story is unique, but the need for encouragement and practical strategies is universal. They’ve also shown me the power of resilience — how families, and individuals, can find strength even in the hardest times.
I bring that same perspective into weight loss: it’s not just about food — it’s about creating a lifestyle you can live with. Through every win and setback, I’ve learned that lasting change isn’t about willpower alone; it’s about finding a flexible, balanced plan that works in real life. And that’s exactly what I live every single day.
Health isn’t just about weight — it’s about time. It’s about how many vibrant, healthy years we get to share with the people we love.
In 2005, I lost my dad suddenly to a heart attack. I was the one called to identify him — an experience that changed me forever. Years later, I watched my mom slowly decline after two major strokes. She passed away in January 2019, the same year my first grandson was born — just eleven months later.
She would have been so proud of my son and would have absolutely adored her great-grandsons.
But she never got the chance to know them, or to see the weddings, milestones, and moments that came after.
A part of me believes that if she had trusted her instincts and taken action sooner, things might have been different. That experience taught me one of the most important lessons of my life: ignoring the warning signs and taking the “easier path” can cost us precious time we’ll never get back.
That’s a big part of why I’m so passionate about this work. Because this isn’t just about losing weight — it’s about building strength, protecting your health, and creating a future where you don’t miss a single moment with the people you love most.
In this photo: I’m 32, living life, carrying 85 extra pounds. This was the start of a four-decade journey that taught me more than any quick fix ever could.
As a child and early teen, I was healthy, active, and never thought about my weight. But in the late 70s, during my teens, my body began to change, and I gained 20 pounds. By my early 20s, I’d lost it and felt like myself again.
Then life happened. Stress, change, and responsibility piled up, and by 32, I was carrying 85 extra pounds. I tried every “quick fix” I could find, and while the weight sometimes came off, it came at a price — my metabolism slowed to a crawl.
Between then and 2022, I lost 48 pounds — most of them while I was sick. It wasn’t healthy, and some came back. I was still left with 37 pounds to go. 👉 [Read my Gains & Losses story]
For decades, I rode the roller coaster of losing and regaining. I was never a binge eater — but after years of diets, my metabolism was fragile. Unless I logged every bite, the weight crept back. And when life got hard, it was nearly impossible to keep all my focus on myself.
In 2022–2023, I joined Noom. I hated logging every bite and avoiding restaurants, but I pushed through — and lost another 20 pounds. For the first time in decades, I was only 17 pounds from my goal.
Then my husband became seriously ill. Between caring for him and running my business, I lost the time and energy to track meals. Slowly, the 20 pounds crept back — 0.2 at a time. Standing on the scale, I realized I was right back where I started. That morning was my breaking point.
I knew something had to change — and I knew no existing program would help me. I’d tried them all. So I told myself: If it doesn’t exist, I’ll create it.
Something else changed, too — my husband. For years, he discouraged me from dieting, which used to frustrate me. But now I understand why. On every other program, I was miserable: cranky, restricted, and afraid to eat out.
This time is different. He notices the energy, positivity, and strength I’ve regained. For the first time in 40 years, I have his full support — and it’s made all the difference.
That’s what this program is about: real life. Eating out without fear. Ordering takeout without panic. Enjoying food without deprivation — and still making progress.
For the first time in decades, I know I’ll reach my goal — without deprivation, without guilt, and without ever starting over again.
This isn’t another diet that leads to regain. It’s a plan that works whether you have 20 pounds to lose or 200 — a plan for living energized, confident, and free.
In this photo, I’m 32, living life, but carrying 85 extra pounds. It was the start of a four-decade journey that taught me more than any quick fix ever could.

I pulled together everything I’d learned over 40 years and asked myself the question: What’s been missing all along?
The answer wasn’t another “diet” — it was a complete, real-life system. One that:
Within the first week of following my new plan, my chronic shoulder and arm pain — something I’d managed for years with cortisone shots, braces, and even talk of surgery — was gone. My energy returned. Back pain eased. My labs improved. Food stopped being a battle — it became enjoyable again.
And for the first time in decades, I had fun creating meals that supported my goals. That’s when I knew this wasn’t just another “diet.” This was a lifelong plan I could carry into maintenance and beyond.
I built it for me first… and now for other women like me. The truth is, these principles work for anyone.. With a few simple tweaks, the same plan can be adapted for men too.
In 2018, specialized blood tests revealed hidden food sensitivities. Once I removed those foods, my digestion improved — and even my severe seasonal allergies began to ease.
Two years later, I reintroduced foods carefully, tracking how my body responded. The change was profound — and it’s still one of the most valuable tools I use today.

On my own journey, I often wished someone would just hand me a simple list of foods I could enjoy freely — without guilt, without calorie counting, and without stalling my progress.
That’s why I created the Free Foods Quick Guide — a short, handy resource you can keep on your phone or fridge. It’s a simple reminder that there are satisfying foods you can snack on a couple times a day when you just need a little something.
Over the years, I’ve spent hundreds — really, thousands — of dollars on programs that never delivered lasting results. I joined Weight Watchers back in the meeting days, paid for memberships I barely had time to attend, and saw almost no progress. Later, I tried apps that promised success but left me hungry, stressed, and constantly logging every bite.
With Noom, for example, I paid $165 for four months, then nearly $100 a month after that. By the time I quit in 2023, after my husband became ill, I had invested a small fortune. My reward? By my own tracking, I lost 3.8 pounds in five months — then, very slowly, reached 20 pounds over two years. The moment life pulled me away from the app, those pounds crept back — 0.2 at a time.
Compare that to my own plan.
In just 2½ months, I lost 17 pounds of the weight I’d regained — without logging every bite, without deprivation, and without spending my life inside an app. More importantly, I feel energized, free, and confident I’ll never have to “start over” again. Right now, I’m still on my journey and just one pound from the halfway mark — and by the time we launch, I’ll either have reached my goal or be within striking distance.
That’s the difference.
This isn’t a subscription, a gimmick, or another temporary fix.
It’s a complete system — with weekly meal plans, recipes, prep guides, and shopping lists that fit real life.
