🎢 40-Year Roller Coaster

A lifetime of ups and downs — and the moment I finally stepped off the ride.

If you’ve ever wondered why weight loss has felt harder than it should — this page is for you.

This is the story of how I stopped starting over — and why I created a plan that works with my life, not against it.

My Journey • Experience & Background

For nearly four decades, my weight went up, down, and back again — shaped by stress, hormones, thyroid issues, changing routines, and the steady accumulation of life itself.

Ten pounds here. Ten pounds there. Until one day, I was 85 pounds overweight.

Nothing dramatic caused it. No single event.

Just life, adding up — quietly and persistently.

For years, I believed I was the problem. What I eventually learned changed everything.

My story, in my own words

A brief overview of how I stopped starting over — and what led me to create this plan

The Plan That Finally Worked

After decades of trying everything, I finally created the plan you’re reading about now.

Using my own approach, I lost the same 20 pounds that had once taken me nearly two years to lose on a popular weight-loss program — only to slowly regain them later.

This time, everything felt different.

There was:

  • No logging
  • No calorie counting
  • No deprivation
  • No constant hunger
  • No fear of regaining

I ate at home. I ate in restaurants. I ordered takeout. I lived my life.

For the first time, the way I was eating supported both my body and my everyday life instead of fighting against them.

What finally changed wasn’t my willpower.

It was the structure.

The Changes Were Undeniable

What began as weight loss became something much deeper — a calmer, healthier way of living.

Within the first week:

  • Years of shoulder and arm pain eased
  • My energy lifted
  • I felt clearer, lighter, and more like myself

Within the first month:

  • My lab numbers normalized — my doctor noticed

At home, the changes were obvious too.

My husband noticed before I ever said a word.

Experience & Background

My journey didn’t just shape how I eat — it shaped how I think, research, and build systems that actually work.

I’m a wife of 44 years, a mom of two adult sons, and a Grammy to my grandchildren — roles that keep me grounded and deeply aware of how much health, energy, and longevity matter in everyday life.

Professionally, my work has always centered on research, structure, and clear communication. I’m a certified coach with a background that blends analytical thinking and human-centered support.

I grew up in France eating simple, whole foods — fresh bread, produce from open markets, and meals made from real ingredients. Nothing processed. When my family moved to the United States, I remember being shocked by finding a box of Ritz crackers.

Over the years, I studied nutrition, inflammation, behavior change, and long-term health — both formally and independently. I truly believed the answer was out there somewhere — that if I could just find the right plan and follow it well enough, it would finally work long term.

But despite all the learning and effort, I never found a single approach that brought structure, balanced nutrition, and real-life practicality together in a way that felt sustainable long term.

So eventually, I created my own.

Because lasting change doesn’t come from restriction or perfection — it comes from clarity, structure, and compassion.

This isn’t just about weight loss.

It’s about building a way of living that supports your energy, confidence, and well-being for the long term.

Where It All Began

Here’s how it unfolded — not all at once, but season by season.

As a child and teen, I never struggled with weight. My first noticeable gain appeared during a stressful period in my late teens — and disappeared once life steadied. For a time, things felt normal.

But adulthood layered on new challenges.

Stress increased. Routines shifted. Hormones changed. Thyroid issues emerged. Responsibilities multiplied.

Over time, the weight accumulated — not dramatically, but gradually.

Ten pounds here. Ten pounds there. Until one day, I was 85 pounds overweight.

I tried plan after plan. Sometimes the weight came off — but always at a cost. My metabolism slowed. My thyroid struggled. And unless I stayed hyper-focused, the weight returned.

Nothing Worked — And What Finally Changed

For decades, I lived the familiar cycle: lose weight, regain it, start over — each time more discouraged than before.

Most approaches required constant monitoring, restriction, or avoiding normal life altogether. And when life became stressful — as life inevitably does — the system fell apart.

I eventually realized the problem wasn’t that I lacked discipline. The problem was that the constant restriction and monitoring simply weren’t sustainable long term.

In 2022–2023, I joined Noom and lost 20 pounds by logging every bite and tightly controlling my choices.

Then my husband became seriously ill.

Between caregiving, work, and everyday responsibilities, I simply couldn’t maintain the constant monitoring the program required anymore. I stopped logging every bite and trying to manage every detail through an app.

I was still trying to eat healthy. But back then, unless I stayed hyper-focused and tightly restricted, the weight slowly returned.

Then one day, I realized those same 20 pounds had gradually returned.

I cried.

Then I faced a truth I could no longer ignore: I wasn’t failing because I wasn’t trying hard enough.

The system itself demanded more than life could sustainably support.

After 40 years of dieting — and watching so many others regain the weight too — I finally realized the problem wasn’t a lack of willpower.

The problem was the structure itself.

I didn’t need another diet.

I needed a structure designed for my life — one that could support ordinary days, stressful seasons, celebrations, caregiving, exhaustion… all of it.

So I built it — Lose Weight — Once and For All™.

And for the first time in 40 years, I stopped starting over.

A Note from My Husband

“She has more energy now — the kind that lasts all day. She seems lighter, clearer, and more present.

The weight she lost changed more than the number on the scale. It changed how she moves, how she carries herself, and how steady she feels.

She’s healthier, more vibrant, and more engaged with life. And her cooking has taken on a whole new life too — creating meals that are balanced, nourishing, and honestly delicious.

It feels like I’m watching her step more fully into herself — and I’m grateful to be alongside her.”

From Isabelle

Reading his words reminds me this journey was never just about weight loss.

It was about becoming healthier, stronger, more present, and more connected to the people I love.

And having him alongside me through all of it means more than he knows.
